Alok Vigyan Mahavidyalaya fallows a Zero tolerance policy towards ragging. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited with in the college campus hostels, transportation and all college related activites.

Ragging Includes any actual –

• Causes physical or mental harassment to a student.
• Creates fear embarrassment or humiliation.
• Involves verbal abuse, teasing, bullying or intimidation
• Forces a student to perform an unwanted act.
• Disturbs the academic environment or personal dignity of a student.

Anti Ragging Rules –

• Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited.
• Every student must maintain mutual respect and
• Senor student shall not harass, threated or intermediate junior students.
• Any complaint related to ragging will be investigate promptly by the Anti Ragging committee.
• Students found guilty of ragging shall face discipline action as per applicable regulations.
• Parents/guardians may be informed in cases of serious misconduct.
• Students are encouraged to report ragging incidents without fear.

Punishment for Ragging. –

Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offense the college may impose.

• Written warning
• Suspension form classes
• Cancellation of scholarships or befits
• Debarment from examinations.
• Rustication from the institutions
• Any other Action as per government and university regulations

The college is committed to providing a safe and dignified environment for women students and staff in accordance with the principles aid down in the visaka guideline
